From time to time, a coin-laundry will become the object of litigation. Usually, it is because a purchaser has been victimized by fictitious representations as to income and expenses. Occasionally, there is a dispute as to the value of a laundromat – usually within the context of either a matrimonial or decedent’s estate.
You may be aware that for both legal and practical considerations, an attorney generally cannot be both a legal representative and a witness in the same case. Accordingly, I do not accept employment as a legal representative in litigation cases. However, I do accept employment as an expert witness in cases involving laundromats.
If your attorney believes you to be in a litigation situation requiring expert evaluation, or expert testimony, regarding a laundrymat, please have him or her contact me via email at garyruff@gmail.com. I will take the request under consideration.
